Only been there once, on a recommendation, and did not regret it. The food was fantastic, I'd definitely recommend the dessert sharing platter if you have enough room at the end of the meal. The staff were friendly and attentive, without being over you all the time. I thought the price was good for the type, and quality, of food that was served. I regret that I took no pictures, but in my defence I was too engrossed in eating the food rather than having it model for me.
Our second visit after really enjoying our first. Excellent menu and it's easy to see why the food is award winning. Our dogs have been welcomed on both occasions and asking for water for them was no trouble at all. On our first trip they were even given a couple of treats. Menu is pricey but the quality justifies it.

Excellent value for money. Clean, smart, well equipped rooms. Not really suited for physically disabled people.
Stayed here for the week whilst working in the area. A Wetherspoons with a hotel on top perfect 👌. Beautiful little market square with museums and shops all very close by. Parking is cheap at the rear of the hotel. The rooms are great with everything you need all the mod cons. The staff are friendly very helpful regardless of the numerous drunks they deal with. The food is okay but could be better. Service is good. Emma behind the bar was exceptional, very professional and well presented to a high standard mentally and physically. Would return in the future for sure.

A lovely venue situated directly opposite Ripon Cathedral. All the staff here were helpful, welcoming and very pleasant. I’ll most certainly look forward to visiting this quant venue again and hope to try their food

Our visit was lovely. We ordered Steak Chips and Salad with Peppercorn sauce. We asked for Medium Steak and received just that. Our waitress was friendly and the wait for our meal was minimal. So good I am going again on Sunday for the carvery. Lovely views. I would recommend this lovely pub/restaurant. Perfect for dog walkers.
Great little pub, nice to sit next to river outside. Friendly staff and good service. Food looks good too.

Nice little hotel. We stayed for 3 nights, staff were friendly. Room could do with a bit of a spruce (cobwebs, broken shower handle, shower leaked) was use for us. Was great to sit in the court yard and chat in the evening but the lights go out when the pub shuts which meant we had to go inside.
Stopped here 1 night rooms very nice old stable great own outside seating nice to be ground floor. Nice pub breakfast excellent.

This is an excellent five star B & B with exceptionally well appointed rooms all of which have their own character. The bathroom is well stocked with the necessary accessories. There is free parking for guests. The breakfast served in the breakfast room is superb, with a good choice of fresh fruit, cereals, yoghurt and wonderful selection of cooked egg, bacon, sausages and all the ingredients of a full English breakfast. Very good value for money.
Beautiful little bed and breakfast. Immaculate rooms very well done. Everything you could want. Breakfast choice was excellent and cooked to order.
If you would like something truly different you might like to have a look at Airbnb. These are mostly B and Bs provided by people on a very informal basis. The may have a spare room, a yurt, a cottage or a barge with space they can receive guests for a night or a month! The website is highly professional. You can really see what you are going to get. Very well worth a look. Airbnb also show 'conventional' B&Bs as well. Enjoy!
